It was an over all stupendous weekend at McKissick Manor. Which was most needed after an awful week at work. Stupid volcano…jacking up the emergency travel department where I work.
Anyway…. On Saturday the Ladies from church all went to Appleton for the sole purpose of eating at Olive Garden and forcing me into finally buying maternity bras. Both goals were accomplished however one was done much more cheerfully. After we returned home it was time to set up for Michael’s shindig since all the fellows at church were coming over for pizza and a devo. Since I did not meet the criteria to join them (aka I am not a man) I passed the time in the basement were I was supposed to be cleaning the sewing room but instead caught up on Project Runway.
The advantage of always being the one with the camera is that you never have to be in any of the pictures. Which works for me as it turns out I am not one of those adorable pregnant chicks. Mostly I look like an expecting hobbit.
The Sunday we headed out to the Thompson Estate for some kite flying and taco bar with our youth group. It has stormed all night so were a little worried that kite flying wasn’t going to happen but the weather cleared up beautifully and it was perfectly windy! We wrapped up the afternoon with ice cream cones.
Sometimes when I sit back and reflect I am amazed and so grateful for how blessed we are! We certainly serve an awesome God!
